Education Management Corp (NASDAQ: EDMC) reported Q2 EPS of $0.25, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenue for the quarter came in at $654.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $651.24 million.
New enrollment down 21.9 percent to 24,000. Average enrollment down 12.7 percent to 131,500. Starting student enrollment down 11.1 percent to 126,800.
Sees Q3 2013 EPS of $0.20-$0.22, versus the consensus of $0.19.
