Trina Solar (TSL) to Develop 50-MW Grid in Gansu Province

Trina Solar Ltd. (NYSE: TSL) has obtained approval from the Gansu Provincial Development and Reform Commission to develop a 50 MW grid-connected solar power plant project in Wuwei, Gansu. The project is expected to support economic stimulus in a region challenged by semi-desert conditions. The Wuwei municipality is well-suited for solar energy production due to favorable irradiance and the ability to sell off electricity to other regions in addition to supplying local needs.
