Quality Distribution, Inc. (Nasdaq: QLTY) 34.9% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.17, $0.11 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter came in at $222.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $233.76 million.

Plexus Corp. (Nasdaq: PLXS) 28.4% LOWER; announced its disengagement as a supplier to Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE: JNPR). Plexus was informed of the disengagement on Monday, November 5, 2012. The timing of the transition of Juniper business from Plexus is not yet known, although it is currently expected to occur by the end of our current fiscal year.

STEC, Inc. (Nasdaq: STEC) 22.9% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.24), $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.28). Revenue for the quarter came in at $42.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $40.78 million. Sees FY2012 EPS of $(0.31) - $(0.35), versus the consensus of ($0.22). STEC also sees FY2012 revenue of $36 - $40 million, versus the consensus of $45.23 million.

James River Coal Co. (Nasdaq: JRCC) 21.9% LOWER; reported Q3 GAAP loss of $0.59 per share, which may not compare with the analyst estimate of ($1.02). Revenue for the quarter came in at $264.63 million versus the consensus estimate of $261.74 million. Coal stocks also hit following an Obama Presidential victory Tuesday night, as new EPA regulation more likely than event to take hold.

Hyperdynamics Corp. (NYSE: HDY) 22.1% HIGHER; Hyperdynamics' Board of Directors approved an amendment to Section 8.02 of the Plan to lengthen the period during which stock options granted under the Plan may be exercised following the date that a participant ceases to be employed by (or act as a consultant to) Hyperdynamics Corporation or (any of its subsidiaries) from one year to eighteen months so long as such period does not extend past the termination date specified in the option agreement.

VirnetX Holding Corporation (AMEX: VHC) 19.4% HIGHER; announced that on November 6, 2012, a Jury in the United States Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division, has awarded VirnetX over $368,000,000 in a verdict against Apple Corporation (Nasdaq: AAPL) for infringing four VirnetX patents. The Court will hear the post-trial motions in the upcoming weeks.

AMYRIS, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMRS) 18.9% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.22), $0.36 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.58). Revenue for the quarter came in at $19.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $10.32 million.

PetroQuest Energy, Inc. (NYSE: PQ) 17.9% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.62), $0.64 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter came in at $33.91 million versus the consensus estimate of $37.02 million.

Procera Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: PKT) 14.6% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.14, and non-GAAP EPS of $0.18, versus the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenue for the quarter came in at $16.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $15.8 million.

First California Financial Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: FCAL) 14.1% HIGHER; PacWest Bancorp (Nasdaq: PACW) and First California Financial signed a definitive agreement and plan of merger whereby PacWest will acquire First California for $8 per First California common share, or approximately $231 million in aggregate consideration, payable in PacWest common stock.

HCA Holdings (NYSE: HCA) 9.7% HIGHER; Goldman upgraded shares from Neutral to Buy, boosting its price target by $8 to $39.
