- VIVUS, Inc. (Nasdaq: VVUS) high of $21.44. VIVUS ripping higher today following a positive FDA panel recommendation for Qnexa last night. Shares moved over 100 percent to the new mark Thursday. For more color, click here.
- Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: OREX) high of 3.98. Orexigen moving in conjunction with Vivus Thursday following the Qnexa recommendation. Orexigen is currently looking for FDA approval of it's Contrave weight-loss drug.
- Yamana Gold, Inc. (NYSE: AUY) high of $18.10. Yamana up after reporting fourth-quarter EPS of 25 cents on revs of $569 million for its fourth-quarter, while boosting its annual dividend 10 percent. The Street was looking for EPS of 24 cents and revs of $601.5 million.
- Liberty Interactive (Nasdaq: LINTA) high of $19.07. Liberty reported revs of $3.08 billion while net income moved from $396 million last year to $408 million in the recent quarter. In addition, Liberty said it plans to split into two new tracking stocks, Liberty Interactive and Liberty Ventures.
- CyberDefender Corporation (Nasdaq: CYDE) low of $0.079. CyberDefender said it filed for bankruptcy and agreed to sell its assets to unit of electronic marketer Guthy-Renker Corp. There were about $7.96 million of assets and $42.5 million of debt on CyberDefender's books, according to the filing.
