This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Threshold Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: THLD) high of $4.08. Threshold moving an additiona 36.5 percent Monday following a close 130 percent higher last Friday on news of entering a global license and co-development agreement with Merck KGaA to co-develop and commercialize TH-302, Threshold’s small molecule hypoxia-targeted drug.

  • Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: GILD) high of $56.47. Gilead moving higher again today following positive comments late last week on its HCV treatment PSI-7977. For more color, click here.

  • ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARIA) high of $15.98. ARIAD up just over 3 percent on the session, possibly related to a critical review by the U.S. FDA of Amgen's (Nasdaq: AMGN) Xgeva, a proposed prostate cancer treatment. The FDA reviewers questioned the benefit of Xgeva in the published documents.

Also moving on the news is Dendreon (Nasdaq: DNDN) which moved as much as 18.6 percent on the session, as Xgeva might be a competitor to Provenge.

  • Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) high of $464.98. Apple moving up another 1.2 percent Monday following some positive reports on its new iTV (rumored), which saw some possible detail leaked by brick-and-mortar big box retailer Best Buy (NYSE: BBY). The device is speculated to integrate Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX), which sent those shares higher, and have a camera called iSight for Skype-ing. Considering Apple would probably be more likely to promote its Facetime platform, the rumor might be a little sketchy. Best Buy's leak came from a consumer test question to gauge interest for certain products.
52-Week Low:
  • CyberDefender Corporation (Nasdaq: CYDE) low of $0.12. CyberDefender moved as much as 33 percent lower Monday following disclosure late Friday that the Company and XRoads Solutions Group, LLC entered into a Letter Agreement pursuant to which the Company engaged XRoads to serve as the Company’s restructuring advisor to explore the Company’s options, including in connection with the Company’s possible efforts to reorganize or sell its assets.
