Pre-Open Movers 11/13: Wal-Mart (WMT) Higher After Results, E*TRADE (ETFC) Recovers

Fossil Inc. (Nasdaq: FOSL) 12% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.43, above the consensus of $0.35. Revenues rose 19.6% to $358.6 million, versus the consensus of $343.54 million. Fossil currently estimates fourth quarter and full year 2007 diluted earnings per share will approximate $0.67 and $1.67, respectively. Excluding expenses related to the Company's Grant Review, diluted earnings per share are expected to be $1.79 for the full year 2007. The consensus is $0.66 and $1.58, respectively.

E*TRADE (Nasdaq: ETFC) 12% HIGHER; is recovering a fraction of yesterday's 59% losses in pre-open trading today as speculation the company has become buyout bait has bargain hunters looking at the name.

Orbitz Worldwide Inc. (NYSE: OWW) 8.8% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.23, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenues for the quarter were $221 million, versus the consensus of $211 million.

Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) 8% HIGHER; said fourth-quarter earnings per share, before special items,* is now expected to be in the range of $0.38 to $0.40, up from the previous guidance of $0.36 to $0.38. Sales are now expected to be in the range of $1.53 billion to $1.56 billion, versus the original expectation of $1.50 billion to $1.55 billion. The consensus is $0.37 and $1.55 billion.

Trina Solar (NYSE: TSL) 7.7% HIGHER; announced a six-year agreement with Sichuan Yongxiang Polysilicon Co. Ltd. in which Sichuan Yongxiang will supply Trina Solar with virgin polysilicon in order to produce approximately 1,300MW of modules.

Superconductor Technologies (Nasdaq: SCON) 7% LOWER; Total net revenues for the third quarter were $4.1 million, compared to $4.7 million in the second quarter of 2007 and $5.9 million in the year ago third quarter. Net loss for the third quarter was $2.0 million, compared to a net loss of $2.0 million in the second quarter of 2007 and $2.1 million in the third quarter of 2006. Net loss per share was $0.16, compared to a net loss of $0.16 per share in the second quarter of 2007 and a net loss per share of $0.17 in the year ago period.

First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSLR) 6% HIGHER; Broadpoint Capital upgrades to Buy

DryShips, Inc. (Nasdaq: DRYS) 5.7% HIGHER; entered into short-term charters for two of its Capesize and one of its Panamax vessels with first class charterers.

Bob Evans Farms (Nasdaq: BOBE) 5% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.43, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.39. Revenues for the quarter were $426.3 million, versus the consensus of $425.52 million. The Company reaffirms its prior FY08 earnings guidance.

Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) 4% HIGHER; Reports Q3 earnings of $0.69 per share, ex-items, 2 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $90.88 billion versus the consensus of $90.72 billion. Wal-Mart sees Q4 EPS of $0.99-1.03 versus the consensus of $1.02. Sees FY EPS of $3.13-$3.17 versus the consensus of $3.09. This guidance includes an anticipated restructuring charge for Seiyu of approximately $40 million after tax in the fourth quarter.

Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp. (NYSE: WAB) 4% HIGHER; will replace Florida Rock Industries Inc. (NYSE: FRK) in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Friday, November 16.

Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) 4% HIGHER; Reports the company is in talks with China Mobile to sell iPhones in China.

VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) 3.6% HIGHER; Bounces after recent sell-off on competition fears

Baidu.com (Nasdaq: BIDU) 3.6% HIGHER; Citigroup has come out in defense of Baidu.com, saying the steep correction creates an attractive buying opportunity.

51job, Inc. (Nasdaq: JOBS) 2.8% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.18, ex-items, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.13. Revenues for the quarter were $29.4 million, versus the consensus of $27.63 million. 1job's expects Q4 EPS of $0.13 to $0.15, versus the consensus of $0.11 and Q4 revenues of $27.4 to $28.7 million, versus the consensus of $26.3 million.

Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) 2% HIGHER; CIBC upgrade

Home Depot (NYSE: HD) 1% LOWER; reports Q3 earnings from continuing operations of $0.59 per share, below the consensus of $0.61. Revenues fell 3.5% to $18.96 billion versus the consensus of $19.48 billion. Given that the softness in the housing market is expected to continue for the rest of 2007 and the Company's commitment to invest in its key retail priorities, The Home Depot expects its earnings per share from continuing operations, on a 52-week basis, will decline by as much as 11 percent from last year.
