Allergan (AGN) Files to Block Ackman's Pershing Square from Voting at Dec. Meeting (VRX)

Allegan (NYSE: AGN) filed to block Bill Ackman's Pershing Square from voting its 10 percent stake at an upcoming shareholders meeting in December.

Bloomberg cites an overnight filing made in Santa Ana, California, on the information.

Allergan alleges Ackman took part in insider trading activities based on its non-public knowledge of Valeant Pharma's (NYSE: VRX) move to acquire Allergan.

There will be a hearing on the matter taking place on October 28th.

Allergan said as recently as September 29th that Valeant's offer was grossly inadequate.
