Apple (AAPL) Products Said Not Banned in China

August 7, 2014 7:44 AM EDT

Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) products are not banned in China, according to reports from AppleInsider, citing Caixin.

Headlines are in response to rumors and report its products were excluded from a list of products that can be purchased by the government. One person familiar with the situation said Apple's exclusion from a semi-annual "shopping list" is far from a formal ban and may be a simple filing error. Authorities are looking into the matter, said AppleInsider.
