Nike (NKE) in Focus Ahead of U.S.A. vs. Germany World Cup Match

June 26, 2014 11:33 AM EDT

Nike (NYSE: NKE) is going to be on watch (literally) when today's World Cup game takes place.

The U.S. will play Germany at noon EDT. Sponsoring the U.S. Men's National Team (MNT) is Nike, which should get plenty more coverage if the first two World Cup games the MNT played are any indication. Nike is headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, USA.

The German's will be sporting adidas, which is headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, Germany.

It will be a true clash of nations.

Notably, Nike will also report Q4 results after markets close Thursday. Consensus estimates call for EPS of $.75 with revenue of $7.34 billion, from EPS of $.76 and revs of $6.7 billion posted in the same period last year. This year will include a largely-expected World Cup bump, while investors will also focus on future orders with the report.

Shares of Nike are down 0.3 percent.
