Mozilla Takes Pre-Orders for Firefox OS-Based 'Flame' Smartphone (MSFT) (AAPL)

Mozilla is making is Flame smartphone open for pre-orders. The device utilizes the Firefox OS, is unlocked, has its bootloader unlocked, and has the following key features:

Mozilla said the Flam will take about four weeks to ship and shipping is free to anywhere in the world, save for Japan.

Names like Google (Nasdaq:: GOOG), Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL), and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) should be kept in mind with this announcement. Firefox OS will compete with Android, iOS, and Windows Phone, respectively.
