Boeing (NYSE: BA) is on watch Friday after missing out on a good-sized aircraft order.
Reports have China Southern Airlines (CSA) placing an order with Airbus (OTCBB: EADSY) for 80 passenger aircraft. CSA ordered 30 Airbus 320 and 50 Airbus 320 NEO jets in total.
CSA didn't disclose the purchase price, saying the order came in significantly
below list prices. Notably, list on the order would be around $9.3 billion.
Earlier in the year, Airbus received an order from China Eastern Airlines Corp. for 70 A320NEO aircraft with a list price of $6.37 billion.
