Android (GOOG) Gains Mobile Share in April as iOS (AAPL) Slips Lower

Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android pulled a little further ahead from the pack in terms of mobile device usage last month.
According to the latest data from StatCounter, Android is on 44.95 percent of smartphones and tablets globally. That's up from 43.49 percent in March and 33.98 percent in April 2013.
Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iOS slipped to 32.91 percent last month, from 33.21 percent last March and 38.6 percent from the same period last year.
BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) saw its market share fall from 2.08 percent in March 2014 to 1.80 percent last month. The company's mobile operating system had a 2.65 percent share in April 2013.
