Quarterly Changes to the NASDAQ OMX Q-50 Index

NEW YORK, Dec. 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NDAQ) today announced the results of the quarterly re-ranking of the NASDAQ OMX Q-50 Index (Nasdaq: NXTQ), which will become effective prior to market open on Monday, December 23, 2013.

The following eleven securities will be added to the Index: Endo Health Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: ENDP), Fossil Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: FOSL), The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Nasdaq: GT), Incyte Corporation (Nasdaq: INCY), Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc (Nasdaq: JAZZ), Microchip Technology Incorporated (Nasdaq: MCHP), News Corporation (Nasdaq: NWSA), Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFM), Sears Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq: SHLD), Stratasys, Ltd. (Nasdaq: SSYS) and DENTSPLY International Inc. (Nasdaq: XRAY).

The NASDAQ Q-50 Index is designed to track the performance of securities that are next-eligible for inclusion into the NASDAQ-100 Index. It does not contain securities of financial companies including investment companies.

As a result of the re-ranking, the following eleven securities will be removed from the Index: DISH Network Corporation (Nasdaq: DISH), Flextronics International Ltd. (Nasdaq: FLEX), FLIR Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: FLIR), Illumina, Inc. (Nasdaq: ILMN), Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN), NXP Semiconductors N.V. (Nasdaq: NXPI), Panera Bread Company (Nasdaq: PNRA), Seattle Genetics, Inc. (Nasdaq: SGEN), Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. (Nasdaq: SLXP), TripAdvisor, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRIP) and Tractor Supply Company (Nasdaq: TSCO).
