Microsoft (MSFT) Talent Pool Gets Thinner as Bing Engineer Heads to Google (GOOG)

As Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) lost another potential CEO candidate last Friday, another exec has decided to move along as well.
The New York Times reported that Microsoft's Blaise Aguera y Arcas has left for Google (Nasdaq: GOOG). Aguera y Arcas played a key role in the development of the Bing search engine, working mainly on Bing Maps and Bing Mobile. He also focused on wearable computing, augmented reality, and natural user interfaces. The engineer will work on machine learning at Google, the NYT reported.
Aguera y Arcas joined Microsoft after his company -- Seadragon Software -- was acquired by the software giant in 2006.
Shares of Microsoft are flat in early trading Monday.
