Buffett Wishes He Had Bought Apple (AAPL) 'Years Ago'; Disagrees with Icahn's Plan

October 16, 2013 8:14 AM EDT
On CNBC this morning, Berkshire Hathaway's (NYSE: BRK-A)(NYSE: BRK-B) Warren Buffett commented on Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL).

The Oracle of Omaha said that "He wishes he bought it years ago" and he doesn't agree with Carl C. Icahn about a cash return plan. Buffett thinks companies shouldn't be run primarily to please Wall Street.

Headlines come following a meeting between Icahn and Apple CEO Tim Cook late last month, in which Icahn said he pushed Cook for a $150 billion buyback plan.

Amid the comments, Apple is indicated higher in early trading Wednesday.
