Samsung might be breathing a sigh of relief Friday following news that the U.S. International Trade Commission will be delaying its final ruling on a potential import ban.
News comes as Samsung was found to infringe on four Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) patents last October. Patents covered the design of the iPhone, as well as headphone connection methods and touch-screen technology.
The new date is August 9th, from a decision expected on August 1st.
Another ruling which the Obama administration is weighing whether or not to veto, covers Apple infringing on certain Samsung patents, which could also lead to a ban. The litigation covers Apple's iPhone 4 on AT&T as well as its iPad 2.
Apple is up 0.3 percent early.
