Freeport-McMoRan (FCX) Holds Gains After SEC Filing Shows Insider Buying

Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE: FCX) held onto gains intraday on Thursday. The stock opened higher after chairman James Moffett purchased 1 million shares, bringing his total stake to 4.07 million shares. The purchase was revealed in an SEC filing released late on Wednesday. Purchases took place on July 29th and 30th.

Meanwhile, copper futures gained 1.8% intraday.
