Companies in Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) food chain move higher in response to a better than expected Q3 report by the tech giant.
Apple's release showed Apple sold 31.2 million iPhones, a record for the June quarter, compared to 26 million in the year-ago quarter. The consensus was 26.1 million.
Apple also sold 14.6 million iPads during the quarter, compared to 17 million in the year-ago quarter. The consensus was 17.4 million.
The Company sold 3.8 million Macs, compared to 4 million in the year-ago quarter. The consensus was 3.9 million.
