JCPenney (JCP) Loses Another Marketing Exec/Former Apple (AAPL) Employee

April 8, 2013 2:30 PM EDT
JCPenney (NYSE: JCP) is shedding another key executive today.

According to Bloomberg, citing data from a LinkedIn profile, Vice President of Media in Digital Marketing Sissie Twiggs is leaving the firm. Twiggs joined JCPenney after working 16 years in Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) global advertising unit.

Other recent departures from JCPenney's marketing department include Michael Francis last June, Greg Clark last October, and Lisa DeStefano-Orebaugh last month.

Moves come as CEO Ron Johnson's aim to shift the pricing structure at JCPenney locations have been met with flat response from consumers, causing the stock to tumble 51 percent since Johnson joined the company in November 2011.

JCPenney confirmed the move in an email to Bloomberg Monday. Shares are up 2.5 percent.
