Don't be 'Crood'-el.

Dreamworks Animation (Nasdaq: DWA) and News Corp's (Nasdaq: NWSA) 20th Century Fox are not having a case of the Mondays following strong weekend results for its animated caveman (caveperson?) comedy "The Croods."

Initial studio estimates have ticket sales of $44.7 million for "Croods," bringing total sales up to $108 million.

Millennium Films' action-thriller "Olympus Has Fallen" brought in $30.5 million, putting it square in second place. Expectations had the film opening for sales of just $20 million.

Disney's (NYSE: DIS) "Oz the Great and Powerful" took in $22 million, putting it in third place following two solid weeks. Total rake for "Oz" was $177.6 million in North America, though overseas sales have been lighter than anticipated.

Sony's (NYSE: SNE) "The Call" sold $8.7 million for a two-week total of $30.9 million.
