With Viacom (NASDAQ: VIAB) trading near $50 per share, analysts at Nomura think the stock is "really cheap for patient investors".

Viacom recently reported Q4 earnings with EPS coming 4 cents ahead of estimates. Commenting on results, analyst Michael Nathanson said, "Management provided the foundation for a stronger 2013 performance."

"There is optimism that ratings will turn as easy compares and new programming talent come together. Further, Viacom is on track for very high high-single-digit to low-double-digit affiliate fee growth in 2013. Affiliate fees now contribute 42% of network revenues vs. less than 30% in 2008. Lastly, there is a continued commitment to buy back at least $2.5bn of its shares in FY13," added Nathanson.

Nomura Securities has a Buy rating on Viacom (NASDAQ: VIAB) with a revised price target of $57.00 (from $58.00).
