Regions Financial Corp. (RF) Tops Q3 EPS by 2c; Mulls Preferred Offering

Regions Financial Corp. (NYSE: RF) reported Q3 EPS of $0.22, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.20.

Regions expects to consider commencing an underwritten public offering of preferred stock in the near future. If commenced, the proceeds from this issuance will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include redeeming certain higher coupon trust preferred securities.
