Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 08/29: (YELP) (JOSB) (MAKO) Higher; (ARQL) (DY) (XRS) Lower

ArQule, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARQL) 21.8% LOWER; disclosed this morning that it was informed by its Asian partner Kyowa Hakko Kirin that it has temporarily suspend patient enrollment in its ongoing Phase 3 ATTENTION trial on the recommendation of an independent Safety Review Committee in Japan after the reporting of suspected cases of interstitial lung disease in the study.

Yelp, Inc. (NYSE: YELP) 19.4% HIGHER; higher amid lock-up expiration as no significant selling expected.

Dycom Industries, Inc. (NYSE: DY) 18.4% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.39, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenue for the quarter came in at $318 million versus the consensus estimate of $323.71 million.

Jos A Bank Clothiers, Inc. (Nasdaq: JOSB) 16.6% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.83, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $0.73. Revenue for the quarter came in at $260.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $251.1 million. Comparable store sales increased 6.1% and Direct Marketing sales increased 39.3% in the second quarter of 2012.

TAL Education Group (NYSE: XRS) 16.2% LOWER; TAL Education falling to a new annual low of $7.07 on massive volume. A similar move happened into earnings in mid-July, with shares dropping from $9 down to below $7.25.

JinkoSolar (NYSE: JKS) 11.2% LOWER; lower on overall sentiment in the sector following cut outlooks at JA Solar (Nasdaq: JASO) and Yingli Green Energy (NYSE: YGE). Click here for more.

Frontline (NYSE: FRO) 11.5% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of ($0.14), $0.09 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.05).

MAKO Surgical Corp. (Nasdaq: MAKO) 9.5% HIGHER; higher following strong results from supplier Corin Group PLC. Corin said first halt sales rose 15% to £25.0m, an increase of 13% on a constant currency basis. Excluding the final stocking order sales of hip implants and instruments to MAKO, the underlying constant currency sales growth was 9 percent.

Sealed Air Corporation (NYSE: SEE) 8.7% HIGHER; announced that its Chief Executive Officer, William V. Hickey, has advised its Board of his intention to retire in March 2013. In connection with the transition, the Board of Directors has elected him Chair of the Board effective September 1, 2012.

Orexigen Therapeutics (Nasdaq: OREX) 8.4% HIGHER; moving higher following a positive Seeking Alpha article issued late Tuesday.

Bassett Furniture Industries (Nasdaq: BSET) 8.4% HIGHER; declared a special dividend of $1.25 per share.
