Quicksilver Resources (KWK) Volatility, Shares Rise Following Nat Gas Data, Hot Weather Outlook

After starting in negative territory Thursday, Quicksilver Resources (NYSE: KWK) shares are moving higher as volatility increases.
Implied volatility is up 10.6 percent from Wednesdays close and is up 90 percent over its historical average.
The stock is 3.5 percent better heading into the afternoon session. Shares are approaching a 50-day SMA level at $4.10.
The stock is moving higher following data showing inventories rose 62 billion cubic feet last week, less than the 63 - 67 bcf expected. In addition, unusually warm weather forecast across many parts of the U.S. are causing more consumers to turn up the A/C, tapping record high nat gas stockpiles in the process.
