Shares of Schnitzer Steel (NASDAQ: SCHN) are edging higher in early-afternoon trade Friday following an intraday upgrade from DA Davidson's Brent Thielman. The analyst now rates the stock a Neutral, up from Underperform previously. A $26 price target was maintained.

The stock last traded at $25.58, down about 2 percent from Thursday's close.
