Talbots (NYSE: TLB) 89.2% HIGHER; agreed to acquired by Sycamore Partners for $2.75/share in cash, or $369 million including debt.

CE Franklin Ltd. (Nasdaq: CFK) 34.9% HIGHER; announced late yesterday it has entered into an arrangement agreement with a wholly owned National Oilwell Varco, Inc. (NYSE: NOV) subsidiary, NOV Distribution Services ULC, pursuant to which, NDS has agreed to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of CE Franklin for consideration of CAD$12.75 in cash per Common Share.

New England Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEBS) 30.9% HIGHER; United Financial Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: UBNK), the holding company for United Bank, and New England Bancshares have executed a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which United Financial Bancorp will acquire New England Bancshares in a transaction currently valued at approximately $91.0 million, based on United Financial Bancorp's 20 day volume weighted average stock price of $15.89 per share as of May 30, 2012 and excluding shares used to terminate New England Bank's employee stock ownership plan.

Chelsea Therapeutics International, Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHTP) 30.5% LOWER; announced that a preliminary analysis of its dose-ranging exploratory Phase II trial of CH-4051, a non-metabolized antifolate, in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who experience an inadequate response to methotrexate (MTX) treatment indicates that CH-4051 did not demonstrate superior efficacy to methotrexate in the dose range evaluated. ImmunoCellular Therapeutics (AMEX: IMUC) 19.5% HIGHER; will present data from the previously completed Phase I clinical trial of ICT-107 showing downregulation of both the tumor associated antigens that ICT-107 is targeting as well as CD-133, a cancer stem cell (CSC) marker, in some of the patients. These observations suggest that targeting antigens highly expressed by CSCs is a promising strategy for treating patients with GBM. Click here for the full release.

Synta Pharma (Nasdaq: SNTA) 17.1% HIGHER; the stock gapped above the 50- and 200-day simple moving averages at the open, bumped up against resistance at $4.50 and $4.75, but is now heading toward the $5 level. Volume is very heavy this morning.

Document Security Systems (AMEX: DSS) 16.2% HIGHER; the stock jumped to a technical level at $2.75 upon the open this morning. Shares are continuing to trade around this level throughout the day.

Hampton Roads Bankshares (Nasdaq: HMPR) 15.4% LOWER; stock continuing lower following news of a $95 million capital raise early last week which pushed the stock up nearly 50 percent following an initial sell off.

Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. (NYSE: SMI) 11.8% LOWER; semis hit on macro data Thursday as well as a couple of select calls by Morgan Stanley on names like Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) and Advanced Micro (NYSE: AMD).

Osiris Therapeutics (Nasdaq: OSIR) 8.9% LOWER; the stock is now down more than 16 percent since yesterday morning's initial pop following news of a win for Medicare reimbursement codes for Grafix. The stock has broken below support at $6.50 this morning.

National Bank of Greece (NYSE: NBG) 8.8% LOWER; continuing lower today following a quarterly loss issued yesterday. The stock fell more than 5 percent yesterday amid the results.
