Speculators may be keeping an eye on Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P. (NYSE: SXL) today after the general partner of the Partnership, Sunoco (NYSE: SUN), was acquired by Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (NYSE: ETP) today.
Sunoco general partner of Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P., which consists of a 2-percent ownership interest and incentive distribution rights, and we currently own a 32-percent interest in the Partnership's limited partner units.
Under today's deal, Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. will own Sunoco's general partner interest and the incentive distribution rights (IDRs) and 32-percent interest in Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P..
