This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

- J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE: JCP) high of $42.29. J. C. Penney has been carrying momentum since last week, which CEO Ron Johnson announced a new format for stores as well as seeing fiscal 2012 earnings at or above those achieved in 2010. For more color, click here.
- Nike Inc. (NYSE: NKE) high of $103.86. No real company-specific news today, and earnings aren't expected to come out until later in February. Nike has just been comfortably trending higher, moving up 15 percent since the end of last November.
- Curis Inc. (Nasdaq: CRIS) high of $5.65. Curis saw its shares pop as much as 8.2 percent to the high today following reports of Roche's (OTCBB: RHHBY) Genentech getting U.S. FDA approval for Erivedge (vismodegib) as a basal cell carcinoma (BCC) treatment. Curis is expected to receive a $10 million milestone with the approval.
- Mission Newenergy Limited (Nasdaq: MNEL) low of $0.96. Normally a light mover, Mission Newenergy is seeing some vigor following a filing with the U.S. SEC late last week which had the company reporting its yield from the latest Jatropha harvesting season was lower than expected. The company said it was re-evaluating its operations in lieu of its current case position and overall outlook.
- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company (NYSE: RRD) low of $11.25. Shares fell after issuing an update for its 2011 outlook, giving the ominous disclosure: "For 2011, non-GAAP operating margin excludes restructuring and impairment charges, a pension curtailment gain, acquisition-related expenses and other items, the exact amount of which are not currently determinable, but which may be significant." click here for more color from the Company.
