Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) today announced that it has awarded three stipends as part of its Research Program on Digital Communications. Launched in 2010, the Research Program is designed to tap into the best minds in the academic and public policy communities and stimulate research into challenges facing the telecommunications industry. The Research Program awards stipends to generate reports and provide new information, insights and practical advice to policymakers and policy stakeholders. Each stipend is $20,000.
Today’s stipends represent the second round of awards made in 2011. Awards were also made during two rounds in 2010. In all, the Research Program has made 16 awards to 23 leading researchers
