Citi Japan Being Probed by FSA Over 'Lax Compliance'

Citi (NYSE: C) shares moving lower in pre-market action Friday following headlines from the WSJ Japan's Financial Services Agency is investigating Citi Japan. A source has said the probe is related to suspicion of "lax compliance."

The stock last traded at $26.34, down about 2.1 percent from Thursday's closing price.

It should be noted futures are currently down sharply. The XLF (NYSE: XLF) is down about 1.8 percent at last check.
