This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • MarketAxess Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: MKTX) high of $30.25. Reports from the WSK have MarketAxess weighing a possible sales for $1.5 billion. It's market cap was hovering around $1 billion at the close yesterday.

  • New Gold, Inc. (NYSE: NGD) high of $12.23. New gold has been moving right along with gold prices, though today the company filed a Form 6-K regarding financial statements for the three and six months ended June 30, 2011. Shares moved 3.4 percent to the new mark today.
52-Week Low:
  • Blue Coat Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BCSI) low of $13.11. Blue Coat reported first-quarter earnings of 18 cents per share on revenue of $109.5 million, both shy of views. Blue Coat also sees second-quarter revenue of $103 million to $110 million, versus the consensus of $116 million. The stock dropped over 25 percent on the session.

  • Xueda Education Group (NYSE: XUE) low of $6.70. Xueda reported second-quarter earnings of 23 cents per share on revenue of $71.6 million, both better than views. However, looking ahead, Xueda sees third-quarter revenue of $50 million to $52 million, shy of the $56.50 million consensus.

  • Ener1, Inc. (NYSE: HEV) low of $0.37. Ener1 is hitting another new low after saying it would restate fiscal 2011 and first-quarter 2011 financials due to a Think Holdings adjustment.
