Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 08/15: (MMI) (CXDC) (VALV) (BWOW) Higher; (IDCC) (APEI) (ZN) Lower

Motorola Mobility (NYSE: MMI) 56.1% HIGHER; announced Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) will acquire the company in a $12.5 billion deal.

China XD Plastics Company Limited (NASDAQ: CXDC) 40.1% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.30, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenue for the quarter came in at $88.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $78.8 million. Also announced a $100 million equity investment by Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia.

Shengkai Innovations (Nasdaq: VALV) 32.1% HIGHER; seems to be bouncing after testing a support level around $1.50 last week. The stock is over the $2 level today. Volume is somewhat heavy this afternoon.

Wowjoint Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: BWOW) 25.6% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.13, versus $0.04 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.4 million, versus $2.6 million reported last year.

Motricity (Nasdaq: MOTR) 25% HIGHER; continuing to rebound today following a 60 percent slide on Wednesday of last week amid a Q2 miss and weak Q3 guidance. The stock rose 12 percent on Thursday and another 10 percent on Friday. Shares are above $2.50 today.

China Information Technology (Nasdaq: CNIT) 23.8% HIGHER; traders are buying the dip today following a 45 percent move lower last week. The stock just retook the $1.50 level around noon.

InterDigital (Nasdaq: IDCC) 20.7% LOWER; tumbling amid news Google will acquire Motorola Mobility. An analyst at M Partners suggested buying the stock today amid the sell off.

American Public Education (Nasdaq: APEI) 8.2% LOWER; bearish comments from an analyst at Height Analytics. The firm suggests the Department of Defense may revise requirements for its Tuition Assistance program over the next several weeks. Click here to see our full write up.

Zion Oil & Gas (Nasdaq: ZN) 7.6% LOWER; investors are taking profits today following nearly 16 percent rise during the last four trading sessions of last week.

Estee Lauder Cos., Inc. (NYSE: EL) 7.1% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.25, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.24. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.06 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.03 billion. Sees Q1 2012 EPS of $1.10-$1.20, versus the consensus of $1.12.

TranSwitch (Nasdaq: TXCC) 5.7% LOWER; traders taking profits today following a 24 percent rise over Thursday and Friday of last week.
