Morning Movers 08/08: (BSFT) (TRH) Higher; (DGIT) (FTEK) (CETV) (CYD) (FCH) Lower

DG FastChannel, Inc. (NASDAQ: DGIT) 25% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.55, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.52. Revenue for the quarter came in at $67.85 million versus the consensus estimate of $73.59 million.

Fuel Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ: FTEK) 16.1% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.02, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.05. Revenue for the quarter came in at $19 million versus the consensus estimate of $22.28 million. Commenting on the outlook, CEO Doug Bailey said, "With respect to the balance of 2011, we believe that revenues and profits should exceed 2010 results as APC orders, in particular, increase as a result of more stringent regulations now being implemented in the U.S. and China, along with steady growth in our FUEL CHEM business."

Central European Distribution (Nasdaq: CETV) 15% LOWER; continuing lower amid broad concerns in the Eurozone. Certainly adding to downside, the company's CEO has been selling shares recently. Shares fell nearly 26 percent last week.

BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSFT) 14.7% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.29, $0.17 better than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $32.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $28.77 million. Sees Q3 2011 EPS of $0.20-$0.23, versus the consensus of $0.14. Sees Q3 2011 revenue of $31-$33 million, versus the consensus of $29.81 million. Sees FY2011 EPS of $1.10-$1.15, versus prior guidance of $0.90-$0.95 and the consensus of $0.75. The company had previously guided EPS to 67-77 cents. BroadSoft, Inc. sees FY2011 revenue of $127-$130 million, versus the consensus of $125.21 million. Sales guidance was $121-$125 million.

China Yuchai International Ltd. (NYSE: CYD) 13.8% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.64, versus $0.74 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $620.75 million, versus $620.56 million reported last year. Total number of diesel engine units sold was 139,236 compared with 132,092 units in the second quarter of 2010.

FelCor (NYSE: FCH) 12.6% LOWER; shares have fallen sharply since reporting Q2 results on Tuesday of last week. The stock is holding below the $4 level this week.

Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) 10.6% LOWER; correcting this week following a 9 percent rise on Friday and a 10 percent decline on Thursday.

Abraxas Petroleum (Nasdaq: AXAS) 10.5% LOWER; oil & gas sector continuing lower this week as crude oil has plunged amid global fears. The US Oil Fund (NYSE: USO) is down 17 percent over the last week and a half. NYMEX crude oil is down about 3 percent to under $85 per barrel today.

Vantage Drilling (AMEX: VTG) 9.6% LOWER; general weakness in the oil & gas sector.

SatCon (Nasdaq: SATC) 9% LOWER; a sharp decline in crude oil prices has also put a kink in the alternative/clean energy sector recently.

ReneSola (NYSE: SOL) 8.9% LOWER; general weakness in the solar group. Claymore/MAC Global Solar ETF (NYSE: TAN) is down 6 percent today.

Transatlantic Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: TRH) 8% HIGHER; reports has received a proposal from National Indemnity Company, a member of the group of insurance companies of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE: BRK-A)(NYSE: BRK-B), to acquire all of Transatlantic’s outstanding shares of common stock for $52.00 per share.
