In an amended 13D filing on Berkshire Hathaway B (NYSE: BRK-B), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust disclosed a 9.52%, or 100,979,077 share, stake in the company. This is up 17.95% from the 85,609,555 shares held at the end of the latest quarter ending June 30, 2011.
On July 7, 2011, the Trust acquired 19,344,522 Class B Shares as a gift from Warren E. Buffett.
During the past sixty days, the Trust sold 2,600,000 Class B Shares.
