Highbridge Capital Raises Stake in Ciena Corporation (CIEN) to 5.15%

In a 13G filing on Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ: CIEN), hedge fund Highbridge Capital disclosed a 5.15%, or 4,924,178 share, stake in the company. This is up 34% from the 3,665,359 shares held at the end of the latest quarter ending March 31, 2011.

The move might have been related to weakness in the stock after Ciena's sloppy second-quarter earnings report and outlook on June 8th.
