Gulf Resources, Inc. (Nasdaq: GFRE) 46.2% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.40, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.37. Revenue for the quarter came in at $45.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $40.36 million. Reaffirms outlook.

eLong Inc. (Nasdaq: LONG) 45.3% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.04, versus $0.04 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $19 million versus the consensus estimate of $18.13 million. eLong currently expects net revenues for the second quarter of 2011 to be within the range of RMB137 million to RMB149 million. Additionally, eLong reports that Tencent Holdings Limited has acquired approximately 16% of the outstanding shares for a total purchase price of $84.4 million and become the second largest shareholder of eLong, and Expedia (Nasdaq: EXPE) has acquired approximately 8% of the outstanding shares for $41.2 million and now holds 56% of the outstanding shares.

Fairpoint Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: FRP) 33.9% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $5.59, versus ($0.97) reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $254.8 million, versus $270.8 million reported last year. While the Company is encouraged by the fact that revenue in the first quarter of 2011 was essentially flat versus the fourth quarter of 2010 on an adjusted basis, the full year 2011 revenue guidance of $1,060 to $1,090 million is unlikely to be achieved. The Company does not intend to provide new revenue guidance.

Life Partners (Nasdaq: LPHI) 19.7% LOWER; last night said it will delay its 10-K. Shares are down more than 20 percent over the last several trading sessions.

Anthera Pharma (Nsdaq: ANTH) 15.5% HIGHER; Leerink Swann initiates coverage on the stock with an Outperform. $12 - $14 valuation range.

O'Charley's Inc. (Nasdaq: CHUX) 14.1% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.09, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.05. Revenue for the quarter came in at $265 million versus the consensus estimate of $261.38 million. Sees Q2 2011 revenue of $190-$195 million, versus consensus of $188.23 million. O’Charley’s comparable sales and guest counts for company-operated restaurants increased by 0.4 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively.

Almaden Minerals Ltd. (NYSE: AAU) 13.7% LOWER; following right along with gold today, as the precious metal continues to retrace, with June contracts down $14.5 to $1,476.1 on the Comex.

Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. (NYSE: AIB) 12.2% HIGHER; updates on its new operating model, as well as several key appointments.

MAKO Surgical (Nasdaq: MAKO) 9.8% HIGHER; Goldman Sachs initiates coverage on the stock with a Conviction Buy list rating and $36 price target, suggesting 43% upside.

JinkoSolar Holding Co. (NYSE: JKS) 10.6% LOWER; trading lower following Trina Solar (NYSE: TSL) earnings, which missed on both the top and bottom.

China Digital TV Holding Co. Ltd. ADS (NYSE: STV) 10.3% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.13, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter came in at $19.32 million versus the consensus estimate of $19.8 million. China Digital TV Holding Co. Ltd. ADS sees Q2 2011 revenue of $20.08-$21.6 million, versus the consensus of $22.2 million.
