Morning Movers 05/13: (TREE) (TPI) (VRML) (DDS) Higher; (ESLR) (HEV) (CA) Lower

Evergreen Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: ESLR) 24.8% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of ($0.93), vs. the analyst estimate of ($0.55). Revenue for the quarter came in at $35.31 million versus the consensus estimate of $52.17 million. During the same quarter last year, Evergreen reported a loss of 70 cents per share on sales of $78.47 million.

Tree.com (Nasdaq: TREE) 22% HIGHER; to sell some assets to Discover (NYSE: DFS) for $55.9 million. Reported Q1 EPS of ($3.63), $3.34 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.29). Revenue for the quarter came in at $33.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $50.71 million. Tree reported a loss of $0.56 per share last year.

Tianyin Pharmaceutical Co., Inc. (Amex: TPI) 19.1% HIGHER; today announced that TPI has received the China's SFDA's approval for its anti-diabetic drug Gliclazide Tablets (80 mg formulation). Gliclazide is an oral anti-diabetic drug that is used for the control of hyperglycemia in gliclazide-response diabetes mellitus of stable, mild, non-ketosis prone, maturity-onset.

Vermillion (Nasdaq: VRML) 16.6% HIGHER; shares surged more than 36% in mid-day trade yesterday following the release of data on its OVA1 blood test which show the test detects ovarian cancer more accurately than the CA 125 method. The stock eventually closed up 73% and is continuing higher today, now flirting with the $7 level.

Response Genetics (Nasdaq: RGDX) 16.5% HIGHER; shares are continuing higher today following Q1 results yesterday morning. The stock surged nearly 30%.

Dillards, Inc. (NYSE: DDS) 15.4% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $1.31, $0.40 better than the analyst estimate of $0.91. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.5 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.47 billion.

Ener1 (NYSE: HEV) 14.6% LOWER; the stock is continuing lower for the third day in a row following Q1 results. The stock fell more than 27% Monday and another 4% yesterday.

Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: CYCC) 14.4% HIGHER; reported Q1 loss of ($0.10), $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.09). Revenue for the quarter came in at $200,000 versus the consensus estimate of $180,000.

Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. (NYSE: APL) 10.7% HIGHER; updates on organic growth initiatives. Click here to see details from the release: "Expansion of WestOK (Chaney Dell) Processing System."

Dean Foods (NYSE: DF) 10.3% HIGHER; Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock from Neutral to Buy with a $19 price target, suggesting 55% upside.

CA (NYSE: CA) 9.5% LOWER; sees FY12 adj-EPS of $2.12-$2.19, vs. the consensus of $2.10. Sees sales of $4.8-$4.9 billion, which compares to the Street estimate of $4.73 billion. The stock was also downgraded at Raymond James earlier.

TPC Group Inc (NASDAQ: TPCG) 9.4% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.70, $0.35 better than the analyst estimate of $0.35. Revenue for the quarter came in at $555.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $475.98 million.

Nobel Learning Communities, Inc. (NASDAQ: NLCI) 9.2% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.22, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenue for the quarter came in at $63.24 million versus the consensus estimate of $62.68 million.
