lululemon (LULU) Q4 Results Beat, But Weak Outlook Has Investors Guessing

lululemon athletica (Nasdaq: LULU) is showing a little weakness ahead of the bell today, despite strong results from the premium women's athletic wear company.

Net income in the quarter was $54.97 million, or $0.76 per share, which was a 93% increase from $28.45 million reported in the same period one-year earlier. On a normalized basis, EPS for the quarter was $0.64.

Revs jumped 52.8% from 160.61 million to $245.40 million.

Overall, the consensus was looking for EPS of $0.57 and revs of $238.98 million.

Inventory for the company ended at $57.469 million, a 30.4% increase from Q409.

Direct to customer sales improved 152% o $24.6 million, about 10% of total sales.

Looking ahead, lululemon sees Q111 EPS of $0.36 - $0.38 with revs of $175 - $180 million, versus the consensus EPS of $0.36 and revs of $179.27 million. For FY11, lululemon expects EPS of $1.90 - $2.00 and revs of $885 - $900 million, compared to consensus EPS of $1.86 and revs of $890.98 million.

LULU shares are down 2.4% pre-market today.
