Ross Stores (ROST) Comps Up 3%; Raises Q4 Outlook; Announces $900M Buyback; Raises Qtr. Dividend by 38% to 22c/Share

Ross Stores (Nasdaq: ROST) reports total sales for the month of January were $441 million, up 7% from the same period last year. Same store sales rose 3%.

Raises its Q4 EPS guidance from $1.32-$1.34 to $1.36-$1.37, vs. the consensus of $1.34.

Sees FY11 EPS of $4.90-$5.10, vs. the consensus of $4.59. Sees comps up 1-2%.

To buyback up to $900 million in common stock.

Raises its quarterly dividend by 38% to 22c per share.
