SIA Reports 14.4% Increase in Global November Semi Chip Sales (SMH, TXN, AMAT, More...)
According to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), worldwide semi chip sales for the month of November were $26 billion, which was a 0.9% decrease from $26.2 billion in October.
On a year-over-year basis, sales popped 14.4% from $22.7 billion in November 2009.
Sales in 2010 until the end of November increased 34% from $202.8 billion in FY09 to $271.8 billion.
SIA notes that all monthly sales numbers represent a three-month moving average.
Europe was the only region to see an increase in November, with a 2.5% jump in sales to $3.42 billion. The Americas saw the largest decrease for the month, with a 1.6% drop to $4.71 billion.
