Q3 Earnings Season Is Upon Us: GE, GOOG, JNJ, JPM, C, GS, BAC, INTC, CSX This Week

Earnings from Alcoa (NYSE: AA) on Wednesday of last week officially kicked-off this year's Q3 earnings season. Over the next month or so, the stock market's largest and most popular companies will report their quarterly results, giving investors some insight as to just how far along we are in this so-called recovery.

This week alone, Wall Street will see the following names report their quarterly earnings:

Tuesday, the 13th
  • Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for EPS of $1.13 on sales of $15.19 billion.
  • Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) - After the market closes. The Street is looking for EPS of $0.27 on sales of $9.02 billion.
  • CSX Corp. (NYSE: CSX) - After the market closes. The Street is looking for EPS of $0.71 on sales of $2.32 billion.
Wednesday, the 14th
  • JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for EPS of $0.49 on sales of $24.81 billion.
  • Abbott Labs (NYSE: ABT) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for EPS of $0.90 on sales of $7.75 billion.
Thursday, the 15th
  • Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) - After the market closes. The Street is looking for EPS of $5.38 on sales of $4.22 billion.
  • Citigroup (NYSE: C) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for loss of $0.21 on sales of $20.47 billion.
  • Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for EPS of $4.24 on sales of $11.02 billion.
  • AMD (NYSE: AMD) - After the market closes. The Street is looking for loss of $0.42 on sales of $1.25 billion.
  • Nokia (NYSE: NOK) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for EPS of $0.18 on sales of $14.25 billion.
Friday, the 16th
  • General Electric (NYSE: GE) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for EPS of $0.20 on sales of $40.03 billion.
  • Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for loss of $0.07 on sales of $27.52 billion.
  • Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for EPS of $0.26 on sales of $3.42 billion.
  • Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) - Before the market opens. The Street is looking for loss of $0.01 on sales of $2.60 billion.
