Icahn Raises Stakes In AMLN, LGF, WMB, YHOO; Cuts Stakes in TIN, LEA

Late Friday, activist investor Carl Icahn released his 13Fs for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. The filings showed he raised his stakes in Amylin (Nasdaq: AMLN), Guaranty Financial (NYSE: GFG), Lions Gate (NYSE: LGF), Williams Companies, Inc. (NYSE: WMB) and Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO), among others. He sold shares in Temple-Inland Inc. (NYSE: TIN) and Lear Corp. (NYSE: LEA), among others.

The two main entities he files under is Carl C. Icahn and Icahn Capital. Below is a summary of some of his notable moves:

  • Bumped Amylin (Nasdaq: AMLN) stake (already known from a 13D, now owns 12.97M shares)
