U.K. Government Could Owns 30% Of Large Banks After Capital Injection

A analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein said the U.K. government may own as much as 30% of the country's biggest banks as it injects 50 billion pounds into the fragile system.

As part of the plan, the U.K. government offered to buy preference shares to boost capital at Royal Bank of Scotland (NYSE: RBS), Barclays (NYSE: BCS), Lloyds TSB Group, HBOS Plc and others.
