Loeb's Third Point Buys Into Starwood (HOT) and Tibco (TIBX), Dumps Yahoo! (YHOO)

Daniel Loeb's Third Point LLC released its 13F for the quarter ended June 30, 2008. Notably, Loeb showed new stakes in Orion Marine Group (Nasdaq: OMGI), Starwood Hotels (NYSE: HOT), Teradata (NYSE: TDC) and Tibco (Nasdaq: TIBX), among others. Loeb also doubled his stake in Plains Exploration (NYSE: PXP). Loeb got rid of his stakes in Atmel (Nasdaq: ATML), Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) and Mylan (NYSE: MYL), among others.
