Alcan Inc. (NYSE: AL) 26% HIGHER; Alcoa Inc. (NYSE: AA) offered to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of Alcan for US$58.60 in cash and 0.4108 of a share of Alcoa common stock for each outstanding common share of Alcan. Alcoa expects to begin its offer on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. Based on Alcoa's closing stock price on May 4, 2007, the offer has a value of US$73.25 per Alcan share or approximately US$33 billion in enterprise value.

Hansen Natural Corporation (NASDAQ: HANS) 9% LOWER; reported that Q1 net sales increased 38.1% to $165.4 million, versus the consensus of $167.9 million. The company did not report EPS due to an an ongoing option investigation.

MDI, Inc. (Nasdaq: MDII) 8% LOWER; sold 2,395,210 shares at $1.67 per share and granted the investors 5-year warrants to purchase 1,197,605 shares of common stock at an exercise price equal to $2.51 per share.

Golden Star Resources Ltd. (AMEX: GSS) 6.5% HIGHER; Cramer highlights on Mad Money Friday.

TASER International Inc. (NASDAQ: TASR) 6% HIGHER; Sarkozy elected as the next French President. In the past, Sarkozy promised to put a TASER in every police car in France.

Dendreon Corp. (NASDAQ: DNDN) 6% HIGHER; continued volatility ahead of May 15 FDA meeting

Armor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AH) 4.3% HIGHER; entered into a definitive merger agreement to be acquired by BAE Systems for $88 per share.

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) 1.4% LOWER; The COSTAR II trial, the pivotal study for the CoStar cobalt chromium paclitaxel-eluting coronary stent, failed to meet its primary endpoint. The trial did not identify safety issues, and the overall rates of death, myocardial infarction and stent thrombosis were consistent with those observed in other clinically relevant drug-eluting stent studies.
