(Nasdaq: EAGL) 26.8% HIGHER; Jim Crane, the Chairman and CEO of EGL, Inc., announced that he, together with investment partner General Atlantic LLC, a leading global private equity firm, and members of senior management, has submitted a proposal to acquire all of the outstanding common stock of EGL, Inc. at a price of $36 per share in cash

PFSweb (NASDAQ: PFSW) 25.5% HIGHER; Announced an agreement with Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD) to provide product configuration and final assembly services for their WDS product lines, as well as inventory management, order fulfillment and international logistics services.

Semiconductor Manufacturing Int'l Corp. (NYSE: SMI) 22% HIGHER; Stock moving higher on takeover rumors.

Agilysys (Nasdaq: AGYS) 20.9% HIGHER; Announced it will divest its distribution business to focus solely on growing its IT solutions business. The company has signed a definitive agreement to sell substantially all of the assets of its KeyLink Systems Group to Arrow Electronics (NYSE: ARW) for $485 million in cash.

MIVA, Inc. (Nasdaq: MIVA) 11.8% HIGHER; Disclosed that on December 28th the company and Google, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG) entered into a Google Services Agreement pursuant to which MIVA, and its subsidiaries, have agreed to exclusively utilize Google's WebSearch and AdSense Services for approved websites and applications.

TETRA Technologies (NYSE: TTI) 9.9% LOWER; Announced earnings guidelines for 2007 of $1.80-$2.15 per diluted share. Revenue estimates for 2007 range from $1.118-$1.24 billion. Earnings for 2006 are estimated at $1.35-$1.40 per diluted share. (Current FY06 EPS consensus is $1.50 and FY07 EPS consensus is $2.15, Revenue consensus for FY07 is $1.12 billion)

AMR Corporation (NYSE: AMR) 9% HIGHER; Stock moving higher as oil prices fall and more speculation over industry consolidation.

Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) 8% HIGHER; Stock moving higher on expectations AT&T (NYSE: T)/BellSouth DSL needs. (AT&T/BellSouth merger was approved last Friday after the close)

Osiris Therapeutics (Nasdaq: OSIR) 7.6% LOWER; Jefferies & Co downgrades OSIR from Buy to Hold.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber (NYSE: GT) 7% HIGHER; Deutsche Bank upgrades Goodyear from Hold to Buy and raises their price target to $27.

Hercules Offshore (Nasdaq: HERO) 6.1% LOWER; Announced that Steven A. Manz, the Company's Chief Financial Officer, suffered an apparent stroke on December 28, 2006. Mr. Manz was hospitalized in a Houston area hospital for diagnostic analysis and treatment, but was released on December 31. Mr. Manz is now recuperating at home. It is not possible to predict when Mr. Manz will be able to return to work. In the interim, the Company intends to promptly appoint a qualified individual to perform Mr. Manz' responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer.
