EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Report on Form 6-K/A amends the Report on Form 6-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 22, 2016 by Golar LNG Limited (the “Company”) solely to remove the language that incorporated by reference the Report on Form 6-K into the Company’s Registration Statement on Form F-3 (Registration No. 333-196992) (the “Registration Statement”). No other changes have been made to the Report on Form 6-K.

This Report on Form 6-K/A shall not be deemed to be incorporated by reference into the Registration Statement.
