Adams Natural Resources Fund Reports Nine-Month Results

Adams Natural Resources Fund, Inc. (NYSE: PEO) today announced the Fund's results for the nine months ended September 30th. The total return on Adams Natural Resources' net asset value, with dividends and capital gains reinvested, was 14.2%. Comparable figures for the Dow Jones U.S. Oil & Gas Index and the Dow Jones U.S. Basic Materials Index were 17.9% and 13.6%, respectively. The total return on the market price of the Fund's shares for the period was 14.2%.

For the twelve months ended September 30th, the total return on Adams Natural Resources' net asset value, with dividends and capital gains reinvested, was 16.4%. Comparable figures for the Dow Jones U.S. Oil & Gas Index and the Dow Jones U.S. Basic Materials Index were 17.2% and 24.8%, respectively. The total return on the market price of the Fund's shares for the period was 18.3%.

The Third Quarter Report to Shareholders is expected to be released on or about October 21, 2016.
