UPDATE: VIX Advances to Session High (VXX)

Volatility on the S&P 500, or VIX, advanced to session highs heading into mid-day on Monday. The index stood a 19, its highest level since March. Gains appeared tied in part to Brexit fears.
The S&P 500 traded at 2088, down 0.4% on the session.
