Cherokee Global Brands Announces License Agreement with Ahold for its Cherokee® Brand in the Czech Republic

Cherokee brand to be available at more than 80 Albert stores beginning Fall 2016

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., April 21, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cherokee Global Brands (NASDAQ: CHKE), a global marketer of style-focused lifestyle brands, today announced a multi-year license agreement with Ahold Czech Republic, a division of the Netherlands-based Ahold company, to launch Cherokee-branded product in its Albert hypermarket division. The agreement includes a wide range of Cherokee family lifestyle categories including men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, essentials, footwear and accessories.  Cherokee-branded product will launch in more than 80 of Albert’s 330 stores in the Czech Republic beginning Fall 2016.

Ahold will fully leverage Cherokee Global Brands’ 360 degree capabilities platform and work seamlessly with the Company’s in-house design and marketing teams to launch Cherokee shop-in-shops within Albert stores. The launch will include family lifestyle and back-to-school campaigns, which Cherokee Global Brands will support with a fully-integrated marketing plan, including social and digital outreach and PR events that evoke the brand's iconic American family lifestyle sensibility.
